Opportunity to work with a nice French family! Hey there, my name is Katy and I am the current au-pair for a family of 4 (with two kids g4 and b13). I am trying to find a replacement to care for the two children I have looked after for the past 5 months. (Icame across this job by chance when I arrived and the family and I got along well. Ideally, they would like someone for a year, but anyone is welcome to inquire. I have further commitments in Canada, therefore I must return). Duties will include cooking light meals, bathing the youngest (4 y/o) and providing her stimulating activities as well as taking her on outings to the park. Shopping and some ironing will be weekly tasks. While the main responsibility is the 4 year old girl, the au-pair/nanny will also be required to ensure the well being of the 13 year old boy. He is essentially self-sufficient so the au-pair will be a friend to talk to and play with. The successful candidate will be provided with their own apartment (15 minute walk from family home). The area is Bécon and is literally a 10 minute trian ride into Gare St Lazare (a major station in Paris). There will likely be opportunity for travel (i say likely but it is almost certain), both with the family and/or independently. Wage will be negotiated upon appointment but will be competitive.
