Napoleon's Arc de Triomphe, towering above one of the world's most famous streets - Avenue de Champs Elysees; The Notre Dame cathedral representing the height of the superior French Gothic architecture, where the legend of the hunchback was born and the world renowned Eiffel Tower, built for the 1889 World's Fair which was never meant to still be here.

Also see the city's central square; Concord where over 1300 people were executed over 2 years, The Conciergerie, where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, the 18th century Pantheon, the final resting place of many influential characters including Marie Curie and Voltaire; Hotel des Invalides, a stunning collection of buildings, one being the church where the tomb of Napoleon holds his remains; Montmartre, the artists quarter of Paris, a beautifully picturesque area whose small winding streets, full of small cafes and bars and portrait painters lead up to the most imposing French building, the Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur; the largest art museum in the world - the Louvre is a must in any visit to Paris, even if you don't enjoy art, the building is stunning and the most famous painting in the world is housed here - The Mona Lisa. (Please note that the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays)
